Join a small group of classmates to learn Latin from scratch! This course is designed for complete beginners or those who have forgotten much of their Latin. This is a reading-focused course in which we will use a combination of Ørberg’s Lingua Latina per se illustrata, Pars I: Familia Romana and Hands Up Educations’s Suburani series. Read, write, and speak your first words of Latin in a friendly environment.

Because Lingua Latina has been in use for so long, used copies Lingua Latina can often be found online or in your local community. If you ask on Freecycle or your local buy nothing group, there is a not insignificant chance that you may find a copy for free! Make sure that you purchase/acquire the 2nd edition.
There is no need for you to purchase access to Suburani unless you would prefer to have access to a hardcopy. If you would prefer a hardcopy, you can purchase Book I directly from Hands Up Education. Please be sure to purchase the North American edition.
