Join an Existing Class

If you have already started your Latin journey, you may be able to join an existing group at the start of our next term.

Please read the following descriptions and contact me if you think you might be a good fit.

Wednesday Night Latin (Adults)

Late Beginner-Intermediate

Wednesday evenings, 5:30-7:00 EST

This class primarily uses Suburani. You may be a good fit for this class if you are already familiar with the majority of the following grammar concepts:

  • 1st-3rd declension nouns and adjectives

  • noun adjective agreement

  • 1st-3rd person pronouns

  • the relative pronoun (qui quae quod)

  • present, imperfect, future & perfect active indicative

  • basic comparative adjectives

Tuesday Night Latin (Adults)

Intermediate-Advanced

Tuesday evenings, 5:30-7:00 EST

This class is primarily a reading-focused class with occasional grammar spotlights from Wheelock’s Latin. We are currently reading through Suburani and Carla Hurt’s The Lover’s Curse, which is a tiered reader of Book IV of the Aeneid. You may be a good fit for this class if you enjoy a chatty class environment and are already familiar with the majority of the following grammar concepts:

  • 1st-5th declension nouns

  • 1st-3rd declension adjectives

  • noun adjective agreement

  • personal pronouns (ego, tu, is ea id, etc.)

  • relative pronouns (qui quae quod)

  • demonstrative adjectives (hic haec hoc, ille illa illud, etc.)

  • active and passive indicative verbs in all tenses

  • participles

  • indirect statements

  • comparison of adjectives

  • ablative absolute
